Obituary: Jack Loomis

Jack Loomis, Blue Eye, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at his home, due to complications following an accident, at the age of 77.
He was born April 23, 1931 in Chadwick, the son of John “Babe” and Lydia (Moody) Loomis. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and spent the last 26 years dedicating his life to helping people, working as an advocate for people suffering from addiction. He was well regarded and respected for his compassion and services. Jack was a city councilman for Branson West. He was a United States Navy Veteran from the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Ella Bealer-Loomis, a daughters, Lisa and John Fullerton, of Blue Eye, Monique and Ron Sisco, of Springville, Tenn., Cindy and Delbert Gortmaker, of Ozark, a step-son, Regan Bealer and wife, Phonesavanh Sang, of Springfield, two sisters, Agnes (Maggie) St. Clair, of Chadwick, and Marie Davis, of Chadwick, and four grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Richard Loomis, Arnold Loomis, Donald Loomis and Reggie Loomis, two sisters, Jewel Wright and Sylvia Atkinson, and first wife, Charlotte Dubuque.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12, at Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City. Services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, at Stumpff Funeral Home-South, Kimberling City with Pastor Tom Sisco officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at Chadwick Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Homes.
